Dr. Hudanich, Chief of Orthopedic Surgery, board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon, Hip and Knee Replacement Specialist, Greater Orlando Orthopedic Group™ dba Hudanich Orthopedics®, is one of the most experienced orthopedic surgeons in the Central Florida area. Having performed over 3,000 joint replacements, Ronald V. Hudanich, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, was one of the first surgeons in Florida optimizing the robotic assisted total knee replacement.
Dr. Hudanich is a proud leader in Stryker® Mako™ robotic joint replacement surgeries, and consistently ranks amongst the top orthopedic surgeons in the area for the minimally invasive Stryker® Mako™ robotic-arm assisted hip replacement and robotic knee replacement surgery technique.
Dr. Ronald Hudanich pioneered and specializes in non-muscle cutting Robotic Total Hip Replacement Direct Anterior Approach and non-muscle cutting, tourniquet-less Robotic Total Knee Replacement.
Orthopedic Treatment and Services
At Hudanich Orthopedics, Dr. Hudanich utilizes the latest and most advanced technologies, like the robotic total hip replacement surgery direct anterior approach, and the Stryker® Mako™ robotic-arm assisted total knee replacement surgery techniques.
Dr. Hudanich is a proud leader in robotic surgery and consistently ranks amongst the top in the area for knee replacements.
Dr. Hudanich specializes in general orthopedic surgery, and many minor outpatient surgical procedures, including rotator cuff repairs, knee arthroscopy, carpal tunnel and trigger finger releases.
He also treats routine musculoskeletal injuries and ailments, such as back pain, arthritis, tendonitis and bursitis of all joints.
Dr. Hudanich has two practice locations in Central Florida, located in Lake Mary and Oviedo, Florida, and treats patients five days a week from Monday through Friday, offering same-day and next-day appointments.
Education
Dr. Hudanich completed his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology at Villanova University and earned his Medical Degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Pennsylvania, where he also completed his internship and his residency.
He went on to complete fellowship training at both, the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University.
Dr. Hudanich has written several editorials and contributed articles to the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma and American Journal of Knee Surgery.
He has presented at the Orlando Health Nursing Excellence Conference and many other medical conventions and conferences.

Dr. Hudanich is AMAZING. I highly recommend him and his staff. Today I couldn’t walk bc there was so much fluid in my knee. I was in such unbelievable pain when I went in, but he drained it, gave me an injection, and I go back in 2 weeks. I may have to have another surgery to clean it out again. Eventually, I may need a knee replacement, but every time I see him, I feel better. He is thorough and will do what is in a patient’s best interest. He has a wonderful bedside manner and is truly an expert in his field. He’s one of the best! I highly recommend him and his practice. Thank you, Dr. Hudanich and Jamie for your help today. I’m so grateful you could fit me in. I wouldn’t trust my knee to anyone else!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Hudanich and his staff. I felt like family the first time I walked into the office. I had a total hip replacement on March 16, 2020 and I can justify honestly say that I an pain free with no restrictions. I never would have imagined that in less than a month I could do anything I want to do. Dr. Hudanich is an amazing doctor that truly cares about each one of his patients. I can't say enough about his amazing surgical skills!!! Well done Doc!! You're the best!!

I have done both my knee replacements with Dr.,Hudanich and my recovery has been excellent. The first two weeks are the most challenging for obvious reasons--inflammation due to surgery and so forth. However, I was able to return back to my normal duties.
My brother, who had a knee replaced somewhere else had an entirely different experience. He was not able to walk and/or return to normal duties in about 90 days. He decided that, based on my experience he would do his next one with Dr. Hudanich and he did! His experience? Nothing less than excellent. We have been referring patients to Dr. Hudanich constantly just by sharing our own experience. He and his staff are the best!

Personal
Dr. Hudanich is an ironman triathlete and has completed more than 13 combined half and full ironman triathlons.
He attends yearly conferences, learning the latest treatments and trends in endurance sports, such as running, cycling and swimming.
As both a surgeon and an athlete, Dr. Hudanich offers a unique approach to the care of endurance athletes.
Dr. Hudanich loves his family, his dogs and is an excellent chef.
