X-rays are a form of electromagnetic radiation, similar to visible light. Unlike light, however, x-rays have higher energy and can pass through most objects, including the body.

What is an X-ray?

We use medical x-rays to generate images of tissues and structures inside your body. Hudanich Orthopedics offers on-site x-rays, read by our team of imaging experts, with the experience in an array of orthopedic specialties. X-Rays are photographic or digital images of the internal composition of something, especially a part of the body, produced by X-rays being passed through it and being absorbed to different degrees by different materials, it is also called radiograph, radiogram, X-ray image/picture/photograph or roentgenogram.

The X-ray shows a clean break, one of the most common and widely available diagnostic imaging techniques, and one of the oldest forms of medical imaging.

An X-ray is actually an electromagnetic beam that is aimed through your body to a piece of film behind it. The resulting image allows your doctor to help narrow the causes of an injury or illness and ensure that the diagnosis is accurate.

Hudanich Orthopedics offers both, digital and conventional X-ray capabilities. In case you would need more sophisticated tests, you would probably get an X-ray first. Most X-ray procedures, such as bone and chest X-rays, do not require any advanced patient preparation.  Our team uses state-of-the-art technology to meet your medical needs.
